Joe Hisaishi is a japanese composer, pianist, head of orchestra, arranger and author(he wroite 3 books). He was born on December 6, 1950 and is still alive Very Happy
His real name is Mamoru Fujisawa.

He started to compose cartoons musics in 1974 then music for documentaries.
He's mainly known in the japanimation corner since he made alot of music for Hayao Miyasaki (Princess Mononoke, Chihiro...). Thats with Kaze no tani no Naushikaa (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind) from Miyasaki still... that Joe Hisaishi known his first big trimuph. Joe Hisaishi also made a movie called "Quartet", and it music and scenario ; and enjoy to take pictures for fun Very Happy those are visible on his website.

Joe Hisaishi is a famous composer in cinema world wide and is considered as one of the 10 best ones from today. He's often called and from every part of the world.. (hong kong:A chinese tall story, korea:Welcome to Dongmakgol, france: le petit poucet....)

Well, lets come back to that great musician..

He won some awards
Awards of the Japanese Academy in 1992 for best music and in 2005 in Los Angeles for the best performance for Howl's moving castle.

Joe Hisaishi also like to use different styles which makes the charm of his compositions^^
he used to european and japanese classical, celtic and electronic styles as well.

Err,no,it's not the opposition that makes the problem.The problem is the minimalistic genre that appeared after the modern and neoromanticism..it's too simple,the complexion from baroch or classical period is gone.

hm maybe simple but look Nirvana whom hooked most people for a while...don't know , kurt cobain never shred...for exemple..but his music rocked the world.. theres good things in all genres..I think. and dont need necessary of hard technics..
