Official website
"We make good music..
..different.
"

Slaughter of the Bluegrass is a Bluegrass/Folk band coming from Sweden (I'm not sure as to when they were formed though) The band basically plays Folkened covers of Melodic Death Metal songs, which is quite amazing since they somehow suceed to keep the essence of each song covered while having stricly no Metal instruments in their line-up.

Members:
Peter Norlinder: Vocals, banjo, mandolin.
Dan Norman: Acoustic guitar, accordion, percussion, backing vocals.
Hannah Sundqvist: Violin, vocals.
Alexander 'Alke' Lindberg: Drums, percussion, backing vocals.
Niklas 'Nille' Sandin: Bass, backing vocals.
Tomas Åkvik: Banjo, backing vocals.

Discography:
So far they haven't released any cds but they have 3 songs streamable and available for free download on their website:
Twilight of the Thunder (Amon Amarth cover)
Blinded by Fear (At the Gates cover)
Punish my Heaven (Dark Tranquillity cover)

I'd strongly suggest you to check out the covers of the songs you know, it's quite amazing to hear them under a completly different sound. (Also, you can vote for the next song they'll cover on their website, among the choices are a lot of Melodic Death Metal but also some Finntroll!)
