Andrea M. Haugen is a neopagan musician, writer & poet from Germany that had many projects in the musical world.

She appeared as guest appearence on the first cradle of filth "The Principle of Evil Made Flesh" & got her first project, that was a dark ambient one, with Aghast & the release :

1994 - Hexerei im Zwielicht der Finsternis

but it didn't keep long because two years after, was born Hagalaz' Runedance, in Norway.
This particular project of her's been active from 1996 until 2002.
She explores the magic and spirituality of Northern Europe, bringing to
life the forgotten wisdom, focusing particularly on the feminine
mysteries and the goddess worship traditions.
The music of Hagalaz’ Runedance has
been described as Ambient Folk, Pagan Folk or Tribal, yet Andrea
definitely has created her individual style. Involving a variety of
musicians from alternative, medieval and folk music scenes, she has
been experimenting with ancient instruments and her voice. Some songs
are magical experiences, describing visions and Seidr trances (Northern
Shamanism). She also appeared as guest on "Nemesis Divina"Satyricon' cd.

Hagalaz' Runedance' discography:
1996 - When the Trees Were Silenced, 7"
1998 - The Winds That Sang of Midgard’s Fate, CD
1999 - Urd - That Which Was’, MCD/ Picture disc
2000 - On Wings of Rapture, 7"
2000 - Volven , CD/ LP/Picture disc
2002 - Frigga’s Web, CD/ LP

But then, Andrea announced that she got "extremely fed up and bored" with the music and image of Hagalaz' Runedance...

Then next year, she's going back on her gothic moods or her darker aspect with her project so called Nebelhexë.

From Norway & England, Nebelhexë releases are :
2003 - Wake to Wither (video)
2004 - Laguz
2006 - Essensual
2006 - Underworld (video)
2008 - In My Dreams I'm Free
2009 - Dead Waters (to be release on May, 5th - 2009)

from Nebelhexë myspace wrote:
Do you know the feeling when suddenly many things end, things suddenly don't work out anymore like before, and suddenly you feel really stuck and you know that fate is hinting really strongly at you that the time has come to move on? Starting anew is both scary, yet terribly exciting I find... I love new beginnings, new challenges, new places. 2009 certainly was a year of several endings for me, both artistically and private.

One ending for me is being finally done with metal labels, because both the label and I feel we don't get anywhere anymore together. One must not forget that the whole music scene has changed. So the last Nebelhexe album was the last one on Candlelight and metal labels altogether.

So it's time for new ideas and I have plenty of those! So what's new? Well the first thing that is new is that I have revived the dwellings of Aghast, well, a modern version of it of course. The new title will be 'Aghast Manor'. Due to legal reasons I cannot retake the original name and logo of 'Aghast' because it was a joined project. Besides, there is a new rock band out there called Aghast. 'Aghast Manor' will be dark, ghostly sounds of music and strange voices with images of the ugly sides of human madness, providing perfect soundtracks for dark disturbing films. All thanks to Megan Fox who heard the Aghast song 'Irrlicht' and was totally scared from it, haha, and thus inspired me to rekindle the Aghast idea. I will invite new members to join the project as well, more news will follow.

The other news is that I will continue to make my own personal music albums under my own name, well, Andrea Nebel (without Haugen 'cause it's kinda long), and no longer under the name of Nebelhexe. I just want to continue making music, writings and art as me, Andrea, and also, since I will be working with script ideas and performance for film channels I would like to use my first and surname.

With it I want to explore new music ideas, but they will still be dark, mellow and personal as the last Nebelhexe releases
